Friction Loss Technologies LLC is a firefighter-owned, firefighter-operated mobile service based in Western Washington. We specialize in high-throughput testing of fire hoses, nozzles, appliances, and ground ladders in full compliance with NFPA 1962 and NFPA 1932 standards.

Founded by career firefighters, FLT was created to provide a local, faster, and more reliable solution to fire departments across the region. Many departments rely on out-of-state vendors for required testing — often resulting in delayed timelines, higher costs, and extended apparatus downtime. FLT is the local answer: fast, professional, and built to serve the communities we live and work in.

Our state-of-the-art hose testing trailer processes over 3,000 feet of hose in under 45 minutes, enabling departments to maintain operational readiness without compromising service delivery. By minimizing out-of-service times for each rig, we help departments return their apparatus to the line quickly — where they belong, serving their communities.
